So, I get a call from an MTV casting director yesterday. I always knew that it was just a matter of time before someone discovered my stunning good looks and realized that I had to be on television. Or better yet, maybe they wanted to feature me in there new series “Real Wedding Caterers of San Jose.” Oddly enough, neither of these scenarios were true. What they were looking for were possible couple candidates for a new reality show on MTV 3 called “Quiero Mi Boda.” They are looking for couples that come from different countries or have different cultural backgrounds and are getting married this year. The premise of the series is to take an inside look at cross-cultural weddings.
I was told that this show is not about Bridezilla’s. They aren’t trying to portray couples in a bad light or as over the top out of control brides and grooms. They are looking for are couples with diverse backgrounds (at least one should be Latino) who are entering into a mixed marriage between March and August of this year. If you are chosen to appear in the series, the shooting of the show takes place over 6 to 7 days leading up to the wedding day and the wedding day itself. They will work with a small crew. All couples who appear on the show are given monetary compensation for their time. If you feel that this is something you would be interested in, feel free to give me a call or send me an email and I would be happy to pass along your info. I was told that they are always casting and looking for people to film so feel free to send in your information even if your wedding falls outside the current shooting schedule.
